She’s my main thang. She makes me feel alright. She makes my heart sang.
With all the buzz on the hemp industry, legalization of weed and stock photos of people popping up having a joyous time at corporate mixers involving weed (before you ask; yes they are)—it seems like this plant is now marketed everywhere and in everything.
Here are a few ways you too can enjoy components of the hemp plant:
1. CBD Oil
“…and when I’m feeling low, she comes as no surprise…”
Cannabidiol (CBD Oil) comes from the hemp plant and NO—you will not get high. CBD is extracted from hemp but does not contain the psychoactive compound found in marijuana (THC).
Well, why the f* would I need it?
2. Hemp Milk
A non-dairy alternative to cow’s milk—this milk can help clear your skin and restore the elasticity. Be beautiful, mind your business, and drink your hemp. (See my post about hemp milk and other alternatives).
4. Hemp Seeds
Protein. Fiber. Omega-3s and Omega-6s. Hemp seeds has all of that! Consuming these seeds may also help reduce symptoms of PMS and menopause. Try adding some to your oatmeal or in your next smoothie!
5. Cannabis Tea
Take tea time up a notch by using—marijuana. This isn’t some new millennial fad found on pinterest with a white woman in yoga pants. Cannabis tea has been consumed by the worlds’ oldest civilizations. Though a little hassle to prepare, it beats the negative effects of smoking while still offering all the affects you would want from a blunt—or not.
6. Hemp Oil (Skin, Hair & Nails)
This oil can be used as a moisturizer for severely dry skin and can be used on acne-prone skin to reduce chances of future outbreaks. With a comedogenic rating of 0, this oil can also be used on oily skin to balance it out. Hemp oil contains the much needed fatty acids (Omega-3, Omega-6 & Omega-9) which are necessary to stimulate hair growth and improve blood circulation on the scalp. Want strong and moisturized hair?—try hemp oil.
Want your brownies to take you—higher? Entrepreneurs have been capitalizing on the marijuana acceptance market and baked goods Is leading the way. This cannabis-based startup, Sweet Toof has baked goods ranging from cookies, mini rice krispie bars & brownie bites—all containing 40mgs-60mgs of THC without losing the taste integrity of the baked good.
I’m not telling you to find local and great quality weed in your area. Find local and great quality weed in your area.
